Our law firm is seeking an experienced paralegal to provide essential support to our attorneys and contribute to the success of our practice. As a paralegal, you will play a vital role in managing cases, conducting research, and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal services.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Summarizing cases and preparing comprehensive reports for attorneys
- Conducting thorough legal research, investigating facts, and developing persuasive legal arguments
- Drafting a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, depositions, pleadings, and correspondence
- Preparing and filing documents with courts and administrative agencies in a timely manner
- Organizing and maintaining physical and electronic files related to ongoing and completed cases
- Staying current with changes in legal frameworks and providing timely updates to the legal team
- Assisting with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and supporting materials
- Communicating effectively with clients, witnesses, and other professionals involved in cases
- Providing general administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the law firm
To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Associate's degree or certificate in paralegal studies from an ABA-approved program
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in [specific area of law, e.g., criminal, family, or civil law]
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
