Roles and responsibilities
- Own the data strategist role by identifying valuable data sources and integrating them into our technology to enhance product capabilities while working with the engineering team to develop new products and features
- Automate data collection process and undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
- Build machine learning algorithms and predictive models, perform data and error analysis to improve them and validate output for accuracy
- Propose new solutions and strategies by building hypothesis and executing analytical experiments in collaboration with software developers that solve real business scenarios
- Analyze data to find trends and patterns, interpret the insights on new opportunities and present them to senior leaders by leveraging data visualization techniques
Required skills and qualifications
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- Proven experience of 5-7 years as a data scientist or data analyst
- Proficient in data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
- Experience with programming languages such as R, SQL and Python and data frameworks such as Hadoop
- Excellent in Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau
- Ability to work on concurrent projects while collaborating with multiple teams
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Professional certification in data science
- 2 or more years of experience in project management
Salary range
$120-150K base salary + annual bonus
