Following standard guidelines and orders, these sections will help you reflect on work experiences, skills, and achievements. The importance of a resume in the process of finding employment cannot be overemphasized. The resume is your first point of contact with the prospective employer, representing an important marketing tool drawing attention to your set of skills and experiences appropriate for the particular position.

You can mention your skills, education, and professional experiences in a well-organized manner. Resume Sections that Will Help You in Getting a Job

Header and Contact Information

After selecting from the resume templates, the contact information is displayed at the very top of your resume. It should include your full name, complete address, contact telephone number, email, and links to your professional social media. Websites can also be posted, particularly for tech professionals or if you maintain a professional portfolio. This section should always have the right details for the employers to contact you.

Professional Objective

It is the introduction to your resume. As the name suggests, the Professional Summary is significant for experienced candidates and should summarize their most notable achievements and skills. It should be tailored to the job one is applying for but should mainly focus on what they will bring to the company.

For beginners or career changers, perhaps a Career Objective would be more suitable. It's supposed to say something to the effect of what you're looking to do as a career and what you bring to said position. 

Work experience

List your work experience in reverse chronological order, listing your present or last position first. You would want to include only professional experience in the field for which you are applying. Include your employer, your title, dates of employment, and most significant responsibilities. Be as specific as possible using numbers and statistics wherever appropriate.

Education

List your degrees and diplomas, starting with your highest achievement. You should include the institution, your degree, date of graduation, and other honors. You could also include the expected date of graduation if you happen to be in the course of completing a degree or diploma program.

Certificates and Licenses

List of professional certifications or licenses obtained If you have them, they should be listed with the name of the certification, the name of the granting organization, and the date received. You may also want to list distinctions or specialty areas. If your profession does not require these, or if you have not attained any, of course, you can omit this section completely. 

Skills

After this, you can list all the relevant skills and indicate the level of proficiency. These fall into technical skills and soft ones, which are learned skills and conducted at a personal level, respectively. You should also not forget to include the list of all the software platforms that you can work with as well as the languages you can talk or write. In this case, the job description may guide you on what to highlight as possible keywords in this section.

Additional Field (Optional)

The need to add some sections depends upon the job you are applying for. It might include some publications, achievements, languages known, projects you have worked on, and other professional affiliations.
